A Mother's Love

A Mother's Love

A Mother's Love is like an islandIn life's ocean vast and wide,A peaceful, quiet shelterFrom the restless, rising tide ...

A Mother's Love is like a fortressAnd we seek protection thereWhen the waves of tribulationSeem to drown us in despair ...

A Mother's Love's a sanctuaryWhere our souls can find sweet restFrom the struggle and the tensionOf life's fast and futile quest ...

A Mother's Love is like a towerRising far above the crowd,And her smile is like the sunshineBreaking through a threatening cloud ...

A Mother's Love is like a beaconBurning bright with Faith and Prayer,And through the changing scenes of lifeWe can find a Haven There ...

For A Mother's Love is fashionedAfter God's enduring love,It is endless and unfailingLike the love of Him above ...

For God knew in His great wisdomThat He couldn't be Everywhere,So He put His Little ChildrenIn a Loving Mother's Care.

I Do Talk To You

"I Do Talk To You"

I know you can’t hear me....but I do talk to you.

And I hear everything you say to me too.

I hear when you laugh, when I do something funny.

I hear you yell "Hooray" when I try so hard.

I hear you tell others how you’d never trade me for the world even with all the trials I came with.

I hear you thank God for what a blessing you have been given.

I hear you encourage me when I can almost do it.

I hear you cry, too, when it gets a little harder

And when you ask God "Why?!" your baby.

And I know you know I understand somehow.

And you know I listen when you talk to me too.

But, I want you to know, mom...........

I do talk to you.

To MOMS

To Moms

Mom,
you nurtured me for nine monthsMom,
you suffered a lot for me.
Mom, you are always there to advise me
On my daily problems.
Mom, you are the first word I spokeMom,
because that word means love.
Mom, from far away and from up close
You deserve to be praised.
Mom, each day should be your celebration
Since you play a major role in our creation.
Mom, nothing can replace you
Mom, how can I ever thank you
For all that you have given me.
Mom, it is an eternal debt
That I will carry into heaven.
Mom, on this day that is yours
I can only bow my headhumbly,
piously in order to say...

Thank You MOM

Thank You, Mom

You brought me into this world with so much love.I thank God everyday from the Heavens above.
You taught me what was right and what was wrong. And most importantly you gave me the will to be strong.

You never gave up on me when the word "parenting" got tough. And you always knew when to say "Now that's enough!!"
You are always there to pick me up when I fall. And there to help me through it all.

You always supported me in the decisions I made. And weighed the outcomes so I wouldn't end up in the shade.
You've let me do things no other Mom would do.And that's why I think you're beyond "cool."

You're a one of a kind and God broke the mold. And no matter how many years go by you will never be old.
When I'd question myself you still believed in me.And to look beyond the mirror was what you helped me see.

Even though there have been spats and fights. We'd always over come them and helped to see the gleam of light.
You mean the world to me and if I had to do it again.I'd definitely choose you as my Mom and also my best friend.

I Love you Mom,

A Parent's Love

A Parent's Love

Time to get up, it's 3am,
Another bottle, change that diaper again
Sing sweet tunes to soothe your ear
Thank God that He brought you here
Scratches, scrapes and bruised up knees,
Asking Mommy to "kiss it please"
Hey Dad, I heard something under my bed,
Can you read it again? That book you just read?
The game will start in thirty minutes,
Dad is proud because his son is in it
Mom's still worried about scrapes and scratches,
But yells 'hoorah!' with every ball he catches
There's a special glow about a mom and a dad,
It's there as they raise their child
Being there through the good and bad;
Loving them all the while
Hey Dad can you fix my tie?
Oh come on
Mom, please don't cry.
You two have always been there,
just like your here today,
Standing right beside me,
Watching her father give her away
